Sherry Lynn Brummel delights in being a longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest.
She was raised in a military officer's family and her childhood was spent in numerous foreign countries. While growing up in these far away lands, she develped a fascination and love for world history and cultures.
Her English grandmother was first to spark her passion for storytelling by reading to her from a copy of the Arthurian legend. Sherry was drawn to the book by the first illustration, the fair Nimue, the Lady of the Lake. Love stories involving tenacious, intelligent, valiant women, whether in myth or reality, have always impressed her.
As a writer, she finds there is no greater pleasure than unearthing some obscure morsel of history and bringing it to life in a plot full of color, passion, and human idiosyncracies. She enjoys creating impelling reasons to bring her characters together to act out their lives before her, on sheets of white paper.
Sherry graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Fine Arts. She has taught art and art history and is a member of PNWA and RWA. Sherry writes under her middle name of Lynn.
